Government Polytechnic Guntakal was established in 2023 with a strong commitment to delivering quality technical education and shaping skilled professionals to meet evolving industry demands. Since its inception, the institution has focused on academic excellence, practical learning, and holistic student development.

Diploma Programmes Offered

The college offers four diploma engineering branches, each designed to provide strong theoretical foundations along with hands-on industrial exposure:

• Civil Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Electrical Engineering and EV Technology
• Mechanical Engineering

Each branch has an approved intake of 66 seats, ensuring focused attention and effective teaching–learning processes.

Placements and Achievements

The college has achieved a remarkable milestone with 100% campus placement for final-year students in the academic year 2025–26. This outstanding achievement reflects the institution’s strong academic foundation, industry-oriented training, and continuous placement support.

The highest salary package offered was ₹5 LPA by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Students were also placed in reputed organizations such as Kalpataru, Royal Enfield, and Volvo Eicher through campus recruitment drives.
